Registered Clinical Counsellor is a member of B.C. Association of Clinical Counsellors. The Association has Code of Ethical Conduct and Standards of Clinical Practice, that are strictly upheld. The Association of American Marriage and Family Therapist strives to honor the public trust in marriage and family therapists by setting standards for ethical practice as described in the AAMFT Code of Ethics. Grace has seen clients of all ages ranging from children as young as 3 years old to elderly of 74 years old. She has helped clients with a variety of issues. Anxiety issues such as phobia, panic attacks, post traumatic stress, obsessive-compulsive, constant worries about everything. Children issues: not listening, temper tantrums, punching holes on walls, trouble with bedtime or morning routines, poor concentration, hyperactive, fear of everything, difficulty with changes or unknown, learning difficulties, sensitive to noise/clothes tags/group setting, easily become obsessive, difficulty making friends. Parent-child conflicts: parents feel helpless dealing with rebellious teenagers who constantly argue about everything, refuse to attend school, use drugs and alcohol. Parents feel at lost dealing with children with developmental disability such as autism, sensory processing issues. Couple/marriage: fight over blended family issues, argue how to discipline your child, sexual problems, infidelity, communication problems. Individual adults : anxiety, depression, anger, stress, addiction, retirement, workplace issues, low self-esteem, feeling stuck, sexual abuse, emotional and physical abuse, car accident, any trauma issues. Grace's approach is brief and effective because she has the therapeutic tools to tackle the various issues. She applies these therapeutic tools according to the needs of the clients e.g. she finds cognitive behaviour therapy works well with anxiety and depression, whereas body psychotherapy -Focusing, is most effective with trauma. | |
